I am the new Marketing & Development Director as of July 2nd, 2018. My experience at Hope so far would be described as busy and full of growth, but also unique and fun!
A few of my responsibilities that I’ve been busy with are building our social media presence on Facebook, getting our new radio ads in motion and tweaking our online advertising strategies. We will have a movie theater ad starting this month at the Spicer theater & new posters for the month of September going into the Willmar, New London-Spicer, Montevideo and MACCRAY high schools! I have all of the table sponsors covered for our banquet, so that is exciting too (& I HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!)! As a new college grad being fully submersed into a nonprofit work culture, I perform many Google searches, seek a lot of advice, drink multiple cups of coffee, meet new people and am just going head first into this ministry!
Working for Hope is a very unique place. Not only our current partners, but people throughout the community want to see Hope succeed & that gives us so much encouragement. As a ministry, we discuss devotions & our personal relationship with the Lord. We pray for one another and build each other up. All of the ladies who work here have unique backgrounds, yet are all wonderful, Godly women who work together for one purpose. This is truly an awesome experience.
In the coming weeks, I will be posting blogs from our other employees here at the center.
I asked them to do this for me for three reasons.
- It helps us create more activity on our website which then helps with other advertising things. 🙂
- It allows our partners to be able to get to know the staff here.
- I wanted people who read this blog to be able to “walk in our shoes” through our different perspectives and roles here at Hope.
One last thing, I would LOVE to get coffee & chat with you about Hope, or just to connect about life! If you do this, I have a small gift for you. The only other way to get this exclusive gift is to come to our Cup of Hope events. The next one will be on October 25th from 8-9am! Call & ask for me at (320)235-7619 to schedule coffee or RSVP for Cup of Hope. 🙂
